Arlene M. Schultz-Johnson, age 85, of Reedsburg, died on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg surrounded by her family. She was born on November 3, 1934 in Spencer, the daughter of Arthur and Hilda (Kleinschmidt) Hallowell. Arlene was a 1953 graduate of Baraboo High School. On April 24, 1953, she was married to Alvin Schultz. She worked for senior citizens at The Gathering Place in Milton. She enjoyed gardening and working with her flowers.
Survivors include her five children: Renee (Joe) Bradford, of Wisconsin Dells; Richard (Tonya) Schultz, of Dexter, MO; Douglas (Deborah) Schultz, of Sayner; Todd (Barb) Schultz, of Janesville and Susan Schultz, of Graceville, FL; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; her siblings: Melvin (Millie) Hallowell, of New Mexico; Donald (Norma) Hallowell, of Wisconsin Dells and Frances Cole, of Baraboo; her sister-in-law: Karen Meichus, of Reedsburg; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband: Alvin in September 2003; a grandson: Brock Swartout; three sisters; one brother and her second husband: Tom Johnson in 2016.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 9, 2020 at Faith Lutheran Church in Reedsburg with Pastor Steven Neyhart officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery in Reedsburg. There will be a visitation from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center or Agrace Hospice would be appreciated. A special thanks to the Reedsburg Area Senior Life Center – Assisted Living for the care and kindness given to Arlene.
