Obituary

  Harold J. Haag, age 65, of Reedsburg, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, January 25, 2022.  He was born on May 24, 1956 to Robert and Carol (Burkeland) Haag.  He was a 1975 graduate of Wisconsin Heights High School.  In 1977, he married the former Bonnie Marten.  Harold enjoyed coaching the boy’s in baseball and hockey, watching his daughter’s dance and band performances as well as watching his grandchildren in their activities.  He also enjoyed playing cards of any kind, especially sheepshead.  Harold will be remembered as well for his enjoyment of playing softball and bowling.  He took great pride in his accomplishments in farming through the years including being a great mentor to many young adults.  He served on various boards and committees most recently on the Westfield Town Board.

  He is survived by his wife: Bonnie; his children: Shaun (Megan), and their children: Summer and Huston; Jamie (Courtney Schwartzer), and their children: Elizabeth, Jamison, Logan and Lexi; and his daughter: Amanda (Eric) Frailing.  He is further survived by his siblings: Robert (Rhonda) Haag, Duane (Joyce) Haag, Marie (Roger) Kahl and Bill (Pam) Haag; his sister-in-law: Karen (Dave) Dunn; his stepmother: Betty Adler; sisters-in-law: Bev (Roger) Clason, Carol Kirk, Sharon Marten, and Elaine (Gary) Meister; many nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Roger and Andrew; sister-in-law: Elke Haag; his father and mother-in-law: Willard and Henrietta Marten; and brother-in-law: LaVerne Marten.

  Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon on Monday, January 31, 2022 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Loganville with Pastor Donald Glanzer and Vicar Nathaniel Adkins officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  There will be a visitation from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. on Sunday at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg and after 11:00 A.M. on Monday at the church.  In lieu of flowers and plants, memorials to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church or the Loganville Fire Department would be appreciated.
