Lorraine A. Gill, age 90, of Reedsburg, died suddenly on Thursday, June 25, 2020 in the Reedsburg Area Medical Center. She was born on May 24, 1930 in Abelman, the daughter of Henry and Esther (Krohn) Schroeder. She was then married to Charles N. Gill. He preceded her in death on October 23, 1979. Lorraine worked for over forty years at the Farmers and Merchants Bank until her retirement. She was a volunteer at the Reedsburg Area Medical Center gift shop and she was also a big sports fan including the Milwaukee Brewers, Wisconsin Badgers and the Green Bay Packers. Lorraine was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her son: Jack Gill, and his significant other, Martha Williams, of Beloit; three grandchildren: Annika, Alexa and Collin Gill; other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Reedsburg with Pastor Tim Anderson officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg and after 12 noon at the church on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church or the Sauk County Humane Society.
