John Robert “Bob” Fusch, 79 of Reedsburg/Las Vegas, passed away, Wednesday, June 1, 2022 in Las Vegas, surrounded by his family. He was born May 11, 1943 in Madison, the son of John Rodney and Dorothy L. (Williams) Fusch.
He graduated from Reedsburg High School in 1961 and attended UW Madison where he was a member of the ATO Fraternity. Bob was President of F&M Bank Reedsburg - Loganville.
On February 10, 1968 he was united in marriage to Dixie Petersen. Together they made a life of entertaining family and friends. They enjoyed taking many family vacations, attending IBAA and Banker Bank conventions, followed the Badgers, visited National Parks and other countries. They spent their summers at Jordan Lake.
After retiring in 1996, they made their second home in Las Vegas where they enjoyed golfing, swimming, shows, restaurants, and visits from family and friends. Bob was very active in the community He was a member of the Reedsburg Country Club, a volunteer fireman, Member of St Johns Lutheran Church, and was a coach for his son’s Little League team. He was a member and past president of many local organizations including the Lions Club, Athletic Club, and United Fund. He served as Chairman of the Reedsburg Industrial Development Commission for over 25 years and was a founding member of the Reedsburg Hospital Foundation. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching the Packers, Badgers, Brewers, and golf. He will be dearly missed by his wife, kids, and grandchildren
Survivors include his wife Dixie; three children Randy (Tammy) Fusch, Amy (John) Meyer, and Lisa Crary (Todd Thieding); four grandchildren Riley and Carson Fusch and Brett and Ashley Crary; two sisters Nancy Hanson and Laurie Fusch; one brother Gary (JoAnn) Fusch, and other relative and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents John Rodney and Dorothy; in-laws Merlyn and Frieda Petersen; son-in-law Jeff Crary; brother-in-law Tom Hanson, along with other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 15 at 11 AM at St. John Lutheran Church in Reedsburg with Rev. Beth Voight officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 14 from 4 to 7 PM at Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg and again from 10 AM until the time of service at the church Wednesday. In lieu of flowers. Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church in Reedsburg, Reedsburg Fire Department, or the Reedsburg Area Medical Foundation.
