Rodney “Rocky” S. Gibeaut, age 66, of Reedsburg, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 after a short but tough battle with cancer.
Rocky was born on January 2, 1954 to Keith M. and Anita (Mallo) Gibeaut. On June 12, 1976, he married Karen Clark, and this union was blessed with two daughters: Shawn Lee and Danielle Rae. Rocky worked at Flambeau in Baraboo for 47 years. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing for “the big one” for many years. Later in life, Rocky and Karen purchased a camper and a year round campsite at Pride of America in Pardeeville. They enjoyed watching the birds, and having family and friends there to
spend time doing the various activities offered there. They loved to “tool around” on their “souped up” golf cart. It was there that Rocky celebrated his BIG 60th birthday with a grand party. We will always remember the time Rocky went ice fishing and ended up in the “open water”. You can guess what he got for a secret Santa gift that year…a life jacket!
Rocky and Karen are members of the Church of God in Reedsburg.
He leaves behind his wife: Karen Gibeaut of 44 wonderful years, children:
Shawn(Jason)Schlieckau, of Cambridge and Danielle(Edward)Dease of Reedsburg; his grandchildren: Alexander, Destiny, Zoie, and
Aleah Dease; Sully and Shanna Schlieckau; his mother: Anita Gibeaut, of Reedsburg and his brother: Ron (Carol) Gibeaut, of Reedsburg along with many other friends and family members. Also his mother and father-in-law: Laverne and Agnes Clark. He will be greatly missed by his beloved dogs: Molly and Daisy, his family, friends, and co-workers.
